Convert a regular pptx to a ppsx in PPT 2007 - Omzetten van een gewoon pptx bestand in een ppsx in PPT 2007

Convert a regular pptx (PowerPoint 2007 file) to a ppsx file.

For years I advised people using PPT 2003 to simply change the extension of a regular ppt file from 'ppt' to 'pps' to make that file a PowerPoint show that will start immediately in show mode. That could easily be done in Windows Explorer. Right-click the file, choose Rename, and change the ppt to pps.

Well alas, that little trick will not work anymore in PPT 2007. If you do that you will a receive a message that the file will be unreadable.

If you want to make a ppsx from a pptx file you will have to go through the proper channels.
So, only a file save as will do the trick. Don't say I did not warn you!

Omzetten van een pptx bestand (PowerPoint 2007) naar een ppsx bestand.

Gedurende jaren heb ik mensen geadviseerd om de extensie van een ppt bestand gewoon in pps te veranderen om van hun presentatie een voorstelling te maken die onmiddellijk opstart als je erop dubbelklikt. Dit kon heel gemakkelijk in de Windows verkenner. Rechtsklik op het bestand, kiezen voor Naam wijzigen en van ppt pps maken.

Helaas die kleine truuk werkt niet meer in PowerPoint 2007. Als je dat probeert krijg je uiteindelijk een foutmelding dat het bestand niet meer leesbaar is.

De enige manier om dat nu te doen is door het bestand via Opslaan als opnieuw op te slaan waar je dan uiteraard kiest voor PowerPoint-voorstelling (*.ppsx).
Zeg niet dat ik je niet gewaarschuwd heb!
