Move paragraphs with ease (2)

The Alt+shift+arrow up/down also works with bulleted lists in placeholders.

So, no need to select the text, put the cursor in the paragraph and press the combination.

You can of course also drag the paragraph into position using your mouse. Just put the mouse pointer on the bullet, you will see arrows pointing four ways. Simply drag into position, a horizontal line will guide you, release the mouse button.

Laat ons aannemen dat je een tekstvak hebt getekend en er verschillende alinea's hebt getypt. Nu wil je heel snel de paragrafen van plaats verwisselen. Natuurlijk zou je de geselecteerde paragraaf met drag en drop kunnen verplaatsen of werken met de combinaties Ctrl+X en Ctrl+V.

In dit geval geef ik echter de voorkeur aan het toetsenbord.

Plaats je cursor in de paragraaf die je wil verplaatsen (hoeft niet geselecteerd te worden). Druk de combinatie Alt+Shift+Pijl omhoog/omlaag. Gaat heel vlot en vooral heel snel.

Suppose you have a textbox consisting of several paragraphs, and you want to reorder them quickly? Yes you can drag and drop the selected paragraph or use the ctrl+X and ctrl+V combinations. But I find the keyboard to be more efficient and quick.

Put your cursor in the paragraph you want to move up or down (no need to highlight) and press Alt+Shift+Up/Down arrow.

Interesting question from a user. Can I choose the beginning point of the animation preview in the Custom animation taskpane when I click on the start button?

PowerPoint always start the animation sequence from the beginning which makes it quite hard to view an animation you added at the end of a long and complicated sequence.
Sadly there is no built-in method to choose your starting point. You can workaround the problem though.

Here's how:

Activate the Selection and visibility taskpane, on the Home tab click the Select button in the Editing group and choose Selection pane.

At the bottom of the task pane click Hide all.

Now click the little eye icon next to the object you want to preview and hit Start.

Once you have previewed the animation just click the Show all button at the bottom of the task pane.

Beginpunt van het animatievoorbeeld kiezen

Interessante vraag van een gebruiker, kan ik het beginpunt van het animatievoorbeeld uit het taakvenster Aangepaste animatie kiezen (te activeren door op de knop Afspelen te klikken).

PowerPoint begint altijd van voor af aan. Wanneer je nu een nieuwe animatie achteraan hebt toegevoegd aan de lijst ben je verplicht om alle andere animaties eerst opnieuw te bekijken vooraleer je het effect van de laatst toegevoegde kan beoordelen.

Er is geen ingebouwde manier om dat te realiseren. Spreekt vanzelf dat dit tijdrovend is wanneer er veel animaties zijn.
Je kan het probleem echter omzeilen. Deze omweg heeft natuurlijk enkel zin wanneer er veel animaties op de dia aanwezig zijn.

Wat je doet is het volgende. Activeer het taakvenster Selectie en zichtbaarheid. Lint Start, groep Bewerken, knop Selecteren, kies voor Selectievenster.

Laat alle te animeren objecten verdwijnen door te klikken op de knop Alles verbergen onderaan het taakvenster.

Klik nu op het oogje naast het laatst toegevoegde object. Laat nu afspelen door te klikken op de knop Afspelen. Enkel het zichtbare object wordt geanimeerd.

Eens uitgetest en goedgekeurd kan je vervolgens terug klikken op de knop Alles weergeven.

To solve our problem we need Microsoft Word. In Word it is possible to let text follow the contours of an image or object.

So add your picture to a Word document. Select the picture, under Picture Tools choose the contextual tab Format. Click on the Text wrap icon, choose Contour. Click next to your picture and type your text.

Then select everything on your page and copy it.

In PowerPoint, Home, click on the Paste button arrow, choose Paste Special.

In the dialog select Microsoft Word-document object and click OK

The object is pasted on your slide, resize if necessary.

If you want to edit the text, just double click the border of the Object, or right click on it and choose Edit object.

Add, delete or correct text.
Click outside the object to put it back on your slide.
