Service Pack 2 for Office announced - Service pack 2 voor Office aangekondigd

Just for your information: Service Pack 2 for Office 2007 is scheduled to be released on April 28th.
Ter informatie: Service Pack 2 voor Office 2007 komt uit op 28 april. Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid zullen een aantal van de hotfixes in de update verwerkt zitten.

Niet editeerbare kop- voetteksten in PPT 2007/2010 met behulp tekstvakken

Kop- voetteksten PPT 2007/2010 niet editeerbaar of verplaatsbaar?

Kop- en voetteksten gedragen zich anders dan in de vorige versie van PowerPoint. Dit kwam reeds eerder aan bod in een vorige bijdrage. Als je toch ouderwetse kop- en voetteksten wil dan moet je die zelf aanmaken. Dit is de procedure:

Op het diamodel en op alle dia-indelingen eronder verwijder je de tijdelijke aanduiding van de voettekst en de dianummering..

Plaats twee zelfgetekende tekstvakken op het diamodel. In de eerste typ je de gewenste voettekst, in de andere voeg je het dianummer toe via het tabblad Invoegen, knop Dianummer uit de groep Tekst.

Verander de opmaak van de twee tekstvakken indien nodig.

De beide tekstvakken fungeren nu als niet editeerbare voettekst en dianummering, ze kunnen niet per ongeluk verplaatst of geëditeerd worden op de individuele dia's.

Had je reeds een kop- en voettekst of dianummer toegepast via het dialoogvenster Kop- en voettekst? Verwijder die dan eerst via dezelfde knop Kop- en voettekst uit de groep Tekst vooraleer je de procedure start. Haal de vinkjes weg naast beide rubrieken en klik op Overal toepassen.

Headers and footers PPT 2007 immovable, uneditable in your slides? 

Headers and footers behave differently from PPT 2003 as I reported a while back. If you still want immovable or undeletable footers you will have to insert them yourself. Here's how:

On the master and the slide layouts delete the footer and numbering placeholder.

Put two regular textboxes as a replacement. Type in the footer text in one of them, in the other insert the slide number using Insert tab, Slide number button in the Text group.

Change the formatting to fit your needs.

Both textboxes will act as footer and slide number and will not be editable in your slides just like in previous versions of PowerPoint.

If you had already applied a slide number or footer remove them first before you start the procedure. Use the Header and footer button and in the dialog, be sure to uncheck them and Apply to all.

If you want a blank spreadsheet that you can use to type in, and use formulas, and such during the presentation here's how to proceed:

• View - Toolbars - Control toolbox
• More controls (last button on the toolbar)
• Choose Microsoft Office Spreadsheet
• Draw the sheet on your slide
• Click on the properties button to set it up as you want (first button on the toolbar).

That's it, during the show just click on the sheet and you will be able to use it.

Een Excel werkblad gebruiken tijdens een presentatie (2003)

Als je tijdens een presentatie wil gebruik maken van een spreadsheet waar je live kan in typen en bv. formules kunt gebruiken, kan je als volgt tewerk gaan:

• Beeld - Werkbalken - Werkset besturingselementen
• Knop Meer besturingselementen (laatste knop van de werkbalk)
• Selecteer Microsoft Office spreadsheet 10.0 of 11.0 of 12.0
• Sleep op je dia een werkblad van de gewenste grootte
• Klik eventueel op de knop Eigenschappen (eerste op de werkbalk) om eventueel een aantal zaken naar wens in te stellen

Tijdens de voorstelling volstaat het van op het werkblad te klikken en je kan het voluit gebruiken.

Tekst blijft niet verticaal gecentreerd bij het editeren van een tekstvak waarvan 'Formaat van vorm aanpassen aan tekst' actief is. De tekst wordt gewoon bovenaan in het vak geplaatst.

It's official Microsoft stops (non-paid) support for Office 2003 on April 15th.
That means only security updates will still be developed. Nothing will be added or improved on the product.

Het is officieel, Microsoft stopt ondersteuning voor Office 2003 vanaf de 15de april.

Alleen veiligheids updates worden verder ontwikkeld. Het product wordt niet meer uitgebreid of verbeterd. Als je nog niet alle service packs hebt geïnstalleerd dan is nu het goede moment aangebroken om te downloaden en installeren.
