Table styles (2007)

Table styles

PowerPoint 2007 has many table styles, all of them have a header row and banded rows set by default. If you do not want the default proposed by PowerPoint you can right-click the style you want in the gallery and choose set as default style.



There are two more options in the quick menu that can be of use, apply and erase formatting, and apply and keep formatting.


The second can be a timesaver, say you have applied different borders and fills to some table cells. But now you want to apply a different style to the table and in the process not lose the formatting of those particular cells. That is when this option really comes in handy.

Before: first cell has a different fill, first row and column have a different border line applied.


After applying light table style by using apply and keep formatting:
