Some people are anxious to install Office 2007 because they think you have to uninstall Office 2003 to make things work.
Fortunately that is not the case. You can install Office 2003 and Office 2007 alongside each other with no problems.
In fact I would recommend doing so because not everyone will use Office 2007 yet. And there is the compatibility issue. Not all things you make in PPT 2007 transfer all that well to earlier versions.
So do not uninstall Office 2003, just install Office 2007 and you will be prompted if you want to keep the previous version or not. Before you do, make sure that all the service packs of the Office 2003 version are installed.
If Office 2003 is not installed on your computer and you want to use both. Then first install version 2003 with all service packs and then install version 2007.

Veel mensen denken ten onrechte dat beide Office versies niet naast elkaar kunnen geïnstalleerd worden.
Niets is minder waar. Je kan Office 2003 en Office 2007 naast elkaar installeren zonder problemen.
Eigenlijk valt het aan te bevelen van dit te doen. Niet iedereen is reeds overgeschakeld of zal dat doen in de nabije toekomst. Bovendien is er het probleem van de compatibiliteit. Niet alle zaken die in bv. PowerPoint 2007 zijn opgenomen worden naadloos overgezet in lagere versies.
Dus zeker niet Office 2003 verwijderen. Installeer Office 2007 en je zal de keuze krijgen, ofwel de vorige versie verwijderen ofwel ze behouden. Vooraleer je Office 2007 op je computer zet zorg je er best voor dat alle service packs van de vorige versies zijn geïnstalleerd.
Als Office 2003 niet op je computer staat en je wil beide versies gebruiken, installeer dan eerst versie 2003 met alle service packs en vervolgens versie 2007.
