Play sound by clicking on picture

You can also add a sound to a picture by using an animation effect.
Here are the steps for PowerPoint 2003.

1. Select your picture.
2. Right-click and choose Custom animation.
3. In the custom animation task pane, click on the Add effect button.
4. Select the emphasis category.
5. Choose an appropriate effect, if you want to really emphasize while clicking choose an effect like transparency or Grow/shrink or even Spin. If you want seemingly nothing to happen, choose an effect like Change fill color...
6. Now double click the effect in the task pane.
7. On the Timing tab. click the Triggers option.
8. Choose radio button "Start effect on click of", select the picture that will trigger the animation.
9. Click on the Effect tab, click on the listarrow next to Sound and choose Other sound. Yet again only wave files will work.
10. Select your sound and click OK, OK.

And here's how in PowerPoint 2007

1. Select your picture.
2. Select the Animation tab on the ribbon.
3. In the Animation group click on the Custom animation button.

6. Now click on the Trigger button in the advanced animation group, choose on click and select your picture as the trigger.
7. Double click the effect in the animation pane
8. On the Effect tab, under Enhancements click down arrow next to sound, select other sound. Only wave files will work.
9. Select you sound and click OK
