How to select in tables using the mouse in PPT 2019

You can select using the mouse in PPT, unfortunately there are not as many options as in Microsoft Word.

Below you will find a video demonstrating how to select using the mouse. You can select cells, rows and columns. 

Selecting cells can be very useful, below there is a video demonstrating the decimal alignment of numbers in table cells. Keep in mind that I use the Dutch Office version. You can find the tab setting by clicking on the dialog starter button in the paragraph group of the Home ribbon.

Om een tijdelijke aanduiding te selecteren klik je meestal op de rand van de aanduiding.

Je kan ook de tabulatortoets gebruiken die objecten één voor één selecteert, maar dan moet je geregeld meerdere keren drukken vooraleer je aanduiding geselecteerd is.


Maar je kan ook gebruik maken van de functietoets F2, handig als je cursor zich al in de tijdelijke aanduiding bevindt.

To select a placeholder and its contents one usually clicks on the surrounding border.

Another alternative is to press the tab key on your keyboard which selects one object at a time, but that may take several keystrokes.

To select a placeholder one can also press F2, quite handy when your cursor is already in the placeholder.
