Export only a colour theme from PPT to Word - PPT 2019

If you want to export existing theme colours from PPT to Word do the following. 

Open the presentation that contains the colour scheme you want to use. Change it if that is necessary and save. IF you want more information on how to create a colour theme click on the following link Create a colour theme.

In the colour theme below the colour of Accent 1 has been changed. That will affect the colour of the built-in headings in Word.

Now open your Word document. On the Design ribbon click the colours button and select the colour scheme you created in PPT.

Use a PPT (colour) theme in Excel - PPT 2019

If you create a new colour theme in PPT you can use it in other Office programs like Excel and Word.

First you design the new theme in PPT. There are two ways you can do that.

Either go to View - Master - select the master which is on top of the list. In the Background group click on the list arrow next to Colours and select Customize colours at the bottom.

Or on the Design tab in the Variants group click the more drop-down arrow and choose Colours, and then Customize colours.

The first four colour boxes are meant for text and the colour background of the slide. You have light text on a dark background and dark text on a light background. Colour box 1 (dark 1) is the colour of the main text, Colour box 2 (light 1) is the colour of the background of the slide, usually white, colour box 3 (dark 2- is for the colour of secondary text, colour box 4 (light 2) is the background colour for dark text.

The next 6 colour boxes contain the accent colours for shapes, tables, graphs, SmartArt. In the example above  I changed the 6 accent colours.

At the bottom of the dialog type the name of the new colour theme. If you wish you can also change the Font or Effects of the theme in the same group.

If all the colours have been set you can save your new theme. In the Edit themes group click on the Themes button and select Save current theme option. Or click on the Design tab and in the Themes group click the More button and then Save current theme.

You will automatically land in the Document themes folder. Give your theme a name and hit Save. Be aware that if you do not save the theme in the default folder it will not show up in the gallery.

Now, when you click the Theme button (slide master) or when you choose Design and the More button you will see a custom section with your new theme in it.

Start Excel and open and existing or a new workbook. Go to Page layout tab, click on the Themes button in the group Themes. Select your new PPT theme. Now all the colours have changed.

Wat is nieuw in PowerPoint 2013-35 - Kantoorthema

Microsoft heeft enige wijzigingen aangebracht in het standaardthema (Kantoorthema) dat bij het aanmaken van een presentatie wordt gebruikt.

Een aantal accentkleuren zijn aangepast of subtieler.

Je kan nog altijd kiezen voor het oude Kantoor thema van versies 2007-2010. Ga naar Beeld - Diamodel - groep Thema bijwerken - knop Kleuren.




What's new in PowerPoint 2013-36 - Office theme

Microsoft has changed the colours of the default Office theme to make them more subtle.

If you want you can opt to go back to the Office 2007-2010 set. Go to View - Master - click on the Theme color button and choose Office 2007-2010.

What's new in PowerPoint 2013-12 - Create custom theme colors

The options on the Design tab to create custom theme colors and fonts has been abandoned and  moved to the View tab of Slide master view.

Je kan een variant op je thema toepassen op iedere dia uit je presentatie.

Selecteer de dia('s), klik met je rechtermuisknop op de variant van je keuze en kies voor Toepassen op geselecteerde dia's.

You can apply a variant of your theme to any slide you want.

To do that, select the slide(s), right-click on the variant of your choice and choose Apply to selected slides:

How to not show themes from Office.com under Design tab

Some time ago I showed you how to make disappear the built-in themes (see my blog article from December 2012 called Remove the built-in themes from PPT 2010).

In that entry I promised to show you how to make disappear the Office.com themes. Unfortunately I forgot to do it. So here's the procedure.

By default the Office.com themes are shown in Themes group. You can see this because the link Enable Content Updates from Office_com is grey. Grey in this case means it is active.

To change that go to File - Options - click Trust center - click button Trust center options - Privacy options - uncheck Connect to Office.com for updated content when I am connect to the internet.

Now the themes should not be visible.

Thema's uit Office.com niet tonen onder het lint Ontwerpen

Een tijdje geleden had ik het in een blogbericht over het laten verdwijnen van de standaardsjablonen onder het lint Ontwerpen - groep Thema's (zie daarvoor mijn bijdrage Verwijderen van de ingebouwde standaardthema's PPT 2010 van december 2012).

Daarin beloofde ik ook om in een volgende bericht te tonen hoe je de Office.com thema's kunt laten verdwijnen. Helaas ben ik dat toen uit het oog verloren.

Standaard worden de thema's uit Offic.com opgenomen onder het lint Ontwerpen in de groep Thema's. Dit kan je zien aan de grijze link Inhoudsupdates van Office.com inschakelen, grijs betekent hier dus actief.

Wil je de thema's niet meer zien dan moet je in PowerPoint een optie uitschakelen.

Bestand - Opties - Vertrouwenscentrum - Knop Instellingen voor het vertrouwenscentrum - Privacyopties - vinkje weghalen bij Maak verbinding met office.com voor bijgewerkte inhoud als er verbinding is met internet.

Bij het bekijken van je thema's zie je dat de Office.com thema's niet meer zijn opgenomen.



Verwijderen van de ingebouwde standaardthema's PPT 2010

Regelmatig vraagt men mij of de standaard Office thema's die zich bevinden onder het lint Ontwerpen kunnen verwijderd worden?

Wel ja, dat is mogelijk.
Start Windows Verkenner op en zoek het volgende pad:
Schijf\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Document Themes14. Alle thema's bevinden zich in deze map.
Hernoem deze map of verplaats alle thema's naar een nieuw gemaakte map, bij voorkeur een submap van Document themes 14.

Het resultaat ziet er als volgt uit, de standaard thema's zijn verdwenen, enkel de thema's uit Office.com blijven over. Hoe je deze ook laat verdwijnen behandel ik in een van mijn volgende blogs.

Meestal is het de bedoeling dat alleen nog een zelf gemaakt aangepast thema zichtbaar blijft in het lint Ontwerpen, naast het blanco Office thema.

Het volledig verwijderen van de standaard thema's zou ik afraden, als je die later nog eens nodig hebt zijn ze snel bereikbaar in hun aparte map.

Remove the built-in themes from PPT 2010

Some people do not want the built-in themes to appear in the user interface. They only want their custom theme(s) to appear as indicated with the red arrow on the screenshot below.

You can remove the themes from the ribbon on the design tab.

Go to Windows Explorer, search for Drive\Progam Files\Microsoft Office\Document Themes14. You will find all your themes there.

Now either rename that folder or move all the themes to another folder, preferably a subfolder of your Document Themes Folder.

Start PowerPoint and go to the Design tab, your Built-in themes are gone. You will see that there are still themes present, those are the Office.com themes. If you want to get rid of those keep reading this blog, in one of my next entries I will show you how to remove them.

The built-in themes are gone though. I would not suggest to remove these themes, merely move them. In case you need them later.

Microsoft heeft 20 nieuwe thema's toegevoegd aan de standaard meegeleverde thema's uit PPT 2007.
Ik heb mij altijd afgevraagd wie de namen verzint bij ontwerpsjablonen en thema's. Misschien is er bij Microsoft wel een interne wedstrijd om de beste namen te verzinnen?

In ieder geval, zoals altijd zitten er goede en (naar mijn mening) slechte ontwerpen in.

Hier is de lijst van de nieuwe thema's:
Aangrenzend, Apotheker, Austin, Couture, Elementair, Essentieel, Executive, Golfvorm, Hardcover, Helderheid, Hoeken, Horizon, Krantenpapier, Perpectief, Punaise, Raster, Slipstream, Vierkleurendruk, Vlechtwerk, Zwarte das.

Hier zijn twee voorbeelden, ik laat aan jullie over te oordelen welk ontwerp goed is en welk niet.

Microsoft added 20 new built-in themes to the ones already in place in PPT 2007.
I've always wondered on what grounds names are chosen to attribute to templates or themes. Maybe there is a contest in Microsoft where you can win a prize if your proposed name is chosen?

Anyhow, like always there are some good designed (in my opinion) themes and some poor designed ones.

Here are the names of the newcomers:
Adjacency, Angles, Apothecary, Austin, Black tie, Clarity, Composite, Couture, Elemental, Essential, Executive, Grid, Hardcover, Horizon, Newsprint, Perspective, Pushpin, Slipstream, Thatch, Waveform.

As an example, here are two, I'll leave you to decide which one I like and wich one I do not like?
